Bonobono Chapter 1: Let's Go Look At Paw Pads

Mediafire

Man, this one has been a long time coming. When I said I was gonna start something after Kyou wo Aruku, I was referring to this series. I started watching the original TV anime series soon after finishing Kyou wo Aruku, and I knew that I wanted to translate the manga. I finally started in March of 2016, almost 2 years ago... Since then, a new TV series was announced, started airing, was licensed by CR, and as of today there are 87 episodes. It's taken me so long that they actually animated the main parts of this chapter in episodes 14 and 62. I don't watch the subs, so I know that my translation is different, but hopefully I didn't mess anything up too badly.

Anyways, too all of you Bonobono fans out there, I hope you enjoy. This series is really special to me, and I'm very happy that I was finally able to put this out into the world.

EDIT: Apparently the first couple volumes were published by JManga way back in the day. I don't know if there are any rips, but the couple of pages that I could find look absolutely awful so I honestly don't care, haha. If that was the norm for a JManga release, then I'm not surprised that they shut down.

  1. Thanks for picking this up. Just a heads up, the ebook raws on EbookJapan (and maybe rakuten, didn't check) are 2048px. I'm guessing you're using an old 1024px ebook rip from pub raws (or Kindle?). That option is there if you want better raws. You'd have to buy the volume for $5 though.

You won't believe how many times I had to fill out the stupid captcha to post that. I would make an email contact form or something.

  2. Thanks for the info. I am actually using an EBJ rip, but it's pretty old. Looks like a re-rip is in order.

  4. Thank you very much! BonoBono is such an interesting manga that is not very popular outside Japan and Korea. I really hope more people will know this cute otter. Thanks for your translation!
